We would like to welcome you to Cross Creek! The Yearling Restaurant was first opened in 1952, just down the road from Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings' home in Cross Creek, Florida. The restaurant was named after Marjorie's most famous book. Her home still stands just down the road, lovingly preserved, and open to visitors. We highly recommend a visit. We have tried to capture the flavor and spirit of old Florida as well. Please take a stroll back in time, under the granddaddy oaks and palms, for a taste of old Florida. We serve Southern Cuisine, specializing in the food rural Floridians have hunted, fished and prepared for generations.
