Whether you’re traveling with kids or for an extended-family reunion, Steinhatchee Landing is a popular choice for its restful setting and fully outfitted accommodations.
Having a whole house to call your own is a wonderful alternative to a hotel room, especially when the cottages are equipped like the Landings. Sure, you get the expected kitchen paraphernalia, but you’ll also find thoughtful touches that include a blender, a grill and grill tools (even matches), even Splenda.
In addition to the dining room, a kitchen counter with stools makes a welcoming place to gather for breakfast or an evening glass of wine. The front and back porches of neighboring units adjoin, so an extended family can have room to spread out and visit while maintaining some privacy.
We loved the upstairs room with a bath, window seat and sitting area that gave everyone room to relax. The in-unit laundry room is a practical addition, and the resort’s pool area offered plenty of fun with table tennis and indoor spa-style hot tub. One- to four-bedroom units are available, making it accessible for a gathering of any size.
