Give The Gift Of A Santa Fe River Paddling Trip This Holiday Season–or Anytime

The Santa Fe River at Rum Island
The Santa Fe River at Rum Island.  Who says we don’t have fall colors in Florida?

Natural North Florida’s Santa Fe River can be crowded during the warmer months (we really don’t have cold month!) so late fall and winter are the perfect time to enjoy the solitude and beauty of the river.  An easy and fun trip is from the US27 Bridge in High Springs to Columbia County’s park at Rum Island Spring.  It’s a leisurely paddle and depending on the river’s flow, takes 2 to 3 hours.  And when you get to Rum Island Park, you can take a refreshing dip in the “warmish” 72-degree spring!

As for gifts, several of our local outfitters offer the perfect solution–gift certificates.  Rum138 Outfitters, Santa Fe Canoe Outpost and Adventure Outpost all offer gift certificates in various denominations.  What a perfect holiday gift for that outdoor enthusiast on your list!
