Gainesville’s Depot Park—A Downtown Destination For The Entire Family

Depot Park is one of the latest additions to Gainesville’s South Main Street District.  Located at the old railroad depot, which now houses two food concessions, the park is a fun destination for the entire family.  Whether you’re planning a family picnic, a playground visit for the kids, or a stroll after visiting the adjacent Cade Museum, the park is safe, beautiful and easy to access..  There’s some parking in the small parking lot, but there’s plenty of street-side parking nearby. The park is also a nice walk from Gainesville’s downtown square and restaurants.   There’s  a city bus terminal just a few hundred yards to the north and the Gainesville to Hawthorne Rails To Trails Bike Trail passes through the park.
