Dixie County’s small islands, river inlets and shallow waters are easily navigable, which is ideal for swimming, fishing and scalloping. It’s coastline is bountiful with both freshwater and saltwater fish, including bigmouth bass, catfish, sea trout, mackerel, cobia and grouper. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the fishing opportunities independently, or through the help of one the area’s fishing charters.
