Day 4, the last day of the Visit Natural North Florida Press Tour–Leon County

After wrangling all the writers into the van at the Governor’s Inn in Tallahassee, we headed over to Another Broken Egg, a breakfast joint over on Capital Circle, east of town.  While part of a chain of ‘eggy’ restaurants, the food was excellent and the portions huge.  Just what we needed after 3 solid days of eating!

I did my usual breakfast ‘test’ and tried the pancakes.  Actually, it was only one and was as big as your head!  Doc Lawrence had a salmon omelet and actually managed to devour the entire thing!

The single pancake at Another Broken Egg in east Tallahassee might feed a family of four!

Tasty salmon, English muffins and eggs will get you going on almost any morning.

Our last stop before heading east towards Gainesville was in Centerville,  in the eastern part of Leon County.  There, we visited Bradley’s Country Store,  where they’ve been selling homemade and home-smoked sausages for generations.   The also grind some pretty tasty grits there.  If you get a chance, spend an hour here, have a sausage dog, and see what retail stores looked like in your Grandma’s time!

I ran out of battery power for the still camera, but here’s a short video:
