CCA Gainesville Banquet, September 29, 2016, Touchdown Terrace at Florida Field

94

If you’ve heard of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) you know that they’re a big voice in Florida and in Florida’s leadership as a fishing destination worldwide.  But all that advocacy doesn’t come without a cost.

CCA maintains offices nationwide, and our own CCA-Florida keeps and office in the Orlando area as well as a paid lobbyist (fighting for the rights of fish, fishermen and marine resources) in Tallahassee.

The CCA is a not-for-profit organization relying on donations, many from auctions and banquets sponsored by local chapters statewide.  Excellent silent and live auctions for fishing and outdoor gear raise thousands of dollars, all used wisely to protect Florida’s pre-eminence as a fishing destination.

This year’s Gainesville Chapter CCA Banquet is to be held at the University of Florida’s Touchdown Terrace on September 29.  Tickets are still available and can be purchased online at ccaflorida.org or at the door. Individual tickets are $79 and couples tickets are $140.  Tickets include a great buffet from Wahoo’s Seafood Grill, as well as plenty of free adult beverages.
