Anglers Count! Try the new iAngler App from angleraction.org

Snook are a popular game fish in Florida, but rarely do they roam as far north as the waters we in Original Florida call home.  However, this year there have been a great number of snook catches in Cedar Key and Suwannee than ever before, likely due to our warm winters over the past few years.  The FREE iAngler app for your iPhone, iPad and Android supports all species of fish and will not only make your fishing more fun, but will aid and support the research of the Snook and Game Fish Foundation Go to the App Store and give it a try!

Agler Action

Logging and recording your trip and catch information here not only builds valuable data for recreational fisheries, but also functions as a record of your own fishing activity. Our tools are developed through collaboration between research scientists and anglers.

Angler Action data fills a critical need in fishery management by collecting data on released as well as harvested fish. We collect information on fish relative sizes, numbers and locations that is only available from anglers recording their fishing trips.

Angler Action is a service project of the Snook & Gamefish Foundation, undertaken in partnership with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and other partners. Angler Action data was used in the FWC 2011 Snook Stock Assessment and is is slated for use in other species’ stock assessments and research projects.
