64th Annual Florida Forest Festival (and Free Fish Fry!), at Perry, FL October 26, 2019

Yes, that’s a helicopter in the background of this photo of the two-man lumberjack competition at the 2018 Florida Forest Festival in Perry.

And there’s more! You can expect to see lots of really spectacular logging gear, military vehicles this year as well as eat some gret food. You’ll also be able to climb aboard some really big forestry gear and talk with the folks who operate it.

While the main day, with the biggest exhibits and the world’s largest free fish fry, is on Saturday, the 26th, at the Forest Capital State Park on US19/98, there are other events throughout the week, including a big parade, fireworks, and a beauty pageant.

There’s plenty of fried fish and hushpuppies for everyone!
See demonstrations of both new and old logging techniques…..and…

…Be sure to save plenty of time to drool over the cars at the car show and the military gear on display!
One highlight of the Forest Festival will be music performed by Buddy Jewell and Andy Pursell. They’ll be on the main stage from 12:30 ’til 5:30 PM on Saturday.

The 2019 Florida Forest Festival is proudly sponsored by Florida State Parks, GP Cellulose, Four Rivers Land and Timber Company, Tobacco Free Florida, the Florida Department of Health and the Taylor County Chamber of Commerce.
