      Join the flea market that stretches from Live Oak all the way to Pensacola. Call Melanie at the Chamber of Commerce to reserve your space or just come by and look at all the great things for sale. Booths will be spread along Highway 90 from one end of Monticello to the other, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

      Join the Big Bend Ghost Trackers as they lead you through "the Most Haunted Small Town in America".

    • Jefferson County Watermelon Festival
      Started over 62 years ago to recognize the watermelon growers of the county, the festival includes beauty pageants, dinners, street dance, arts and crafts, melon run, sports events, and parade.

    • Painted Pony Fun Day Sunday
      Fun day Sunday at the Painted Pony will feature pony rides, hay rides, face painting, food and live music. There will also be a visit from special guest Ginger Kathrens who will speak about wild horses. Come join the fun!

    • The Sound of Music
      Join the Historic Monticello Opera House for their season opener by singing along with your favorite tunes in this classic show, now in the 45th Anniversary Celebration of the movie release. The story takes place in Salzburg, Austria in pre-World War II and is based on the memoirs of real life Maria von Trapp.
