At Ichetucknee Springs State Park. Come welcome the arrival of the season of spring with a celebration of the beautiful springs of north-central Florida!  The Ichetucknee Springs ecosystem is one of the major spring-fed streams of the region.  The dynamic Karst features and pristine plant and animal communities of the system are among the most researched in Florida.  The crystal clear waters have been a centerpiece of recreational enjoyment for many decades.  Come learn about this incredible National Natural Landmark and the progress made in protecting this wonderful resource in this community-wide free event.

The Environmental Showcase will be held at the southern end of the park (Main South Entrance off of U.S. Highway 27, 4 miles northwest of Ft. White) near the Education Center and Concession Building.  Guided tours of the Education Center will be available, as well as a variety of informational booths at the main picnic area, sponsored by local schools, community partners, and conservation organization.  There will be special games, activities, and giveaways featuring how we can better conserve our valuable water resources.

The park concession will be open during the event, and Tram Rides will be available for special children’s activities.  Park entrance is FREE for participants in the Environmental Showcase!  Come join us in this special celebration!
