Gainesville Mom Prom
Gainesville Mom Prom is the ultimate ladies' night out for a good cause! It is a super-fun evening of drinks, light food & desserts, photo booth, dancing and chances to win raffles (who will win our Prom Queen raffle and awesome basket of prizes?) and silent auction. While this is a ladies-only event, it is NOT a moms-only event. All proceeds benefit Alachua County Perinatal Mental Health Coalition (www.ACPMHC.com). The ACPMHC exists to address awareness, education and prevention of perinatal mental illnesses. Postpartum depression and related illnesses are the #1 health complication surrounding pregnancy and postpartum. When left unrecognized and untreated, they can leave long-lasting, negative impacts on Mom and her family.
Through a collaborative community effort, the ACPMHC also operates the A.B.C. All Bottoms Covered Diaper Bank. This initiative addresses diaper need that effects 1 in 3 families who struggle to provide this basic need for their babies. Diaper cost is not offset by any state or federal programs.
