Santa Fe Lake Loop
Location: Hampton, FL, United States
This 32-mile paved loop route begins in Hampton, FL, which has a few gas stations and convenience stores where riders can stop in before beginning. The route heads southeast out of Hampton, passing by the tip of the Santa Fe Swamp Conservation Area in the 7th mile.At mile 7.4, the route veers to the right on SE 8th Avenue. As an alternative, riders can stay on State Road 100 and on a paved bike lane to downtown Keystone Heights, turning right at its intersection with State Road 21 and rejoin the route at mile 10. This side-trip offers extra miles through another small Florida town.
The route winds around Santa Fe Lake and the Melrose community. Melrose is home to a handful of restaurants as well as convenience stores and restrooms if riders need a place to stop.
The route loops back up through Earleton, then back up the other side of the Santa Fe Swamp Conservation Area to finish in Hampton.
