Florida’s Big Bend was damaged by Hurricane Hermine, which wasn’t so much a wind event as a tidal surge event.  Most of the damage to our coastal towns happened over the Labor Day weekend in early September, and Roy’s Restaurant in Steinhatchee is one of the last to re-open.  As of November 22, Roy’s is back in business and better than ever!

That’s water covering the floor at Roy’s, just a few days after Hurricane Hermine passed through.  Water covered tables,  ruined many of the kitchen appliances, and spoiled food in freezers and refrigerators.

The Wicker family (Linda, Ben and Nikki) welcomes you to Roy’s.  After several months of rebuilding the restaurant, the food’s the same–as are the prices and the portions!

Roy’s is famous for the salad bar, which includes Greek potato salad.  And it’s included with most entrees!

The fried shrimp at Roy’s are almost as famous as the Greek potato salad!
