The Gathering Table is a Southern, country-style, restaurant that's fairly new--about three years old I think--in Chiefland. It went into a strip mall in what was once a Beall's store's space, so the space used is beyond ample and includes a couple private dining rooms as well as the main room. The staff are beyond nice and the food is great, plus the environment is welcoming enough and if you go on Sundays, they'll have contemporary Christian songs on the radio. It has the feel of the local down-home buffet.
