Equestrian
North Florida has a wealth of equestrian venues available for nearly every flavor of equine pursuit. Hundreds of miles of peaceful trails are available throughout the region, and horse-friendly overnight accomodations are available near many trail heads.
Black Prong Equestrian Center, nestled in the heart of the 53,000-acre Goethe State Forest in Levy County, is a unique 250-acre facility developed for the sport and art of all things equestrian.
Tallahassee is home to the prestigious Red Hills Trials, an annual United States Eventing Association Area III event, held each March. The event features four dressage rings, the stadium course, stabling, the "Red Hills Avenue of Shops", "Saddlers' Row", "Red Hills Food Court", and a variety of exhibits, educational demonstrations and Park and Botanical Tours.
