Andrews Wildlife Management Area
Andrews Wildlife Management Area is an oasis in the rapidly developing lower Suwannee River region. Andrew’s old-growth upland hardwood forest shows little evidence of human disturbance. Its well-developed canopy with trees in various stages of growth and decay provides food, cover, and nesting and denning sites for many wildlife species. Here you can enjoy small, high-quality hunts and excellent fishing along the banks of Suwannee. Hike, jog, or bike along pleasant well-marked trails, three of which lead to champion trees.
Cyclists may use trails or unnamed service roads. The roads and trails are in good condition, with great scenery and abundant wildlife.
Location: Levy County approximately 5 miles north of Chiefland. From I-75 take exit 76 (Newberry Road and SR 26) west 37 miles to US Hwy 19, US 19 south to NW 160th St, west on 160th St to entrance.
