    • 32nd Annual Pioneer Day Festival
      For the last 31 years, the Pioneer Day festival has been a proud part of Lafayette County Florida. Every year thousands of people join Mayo in the celebration of the pioneer spirit that made America and the South great. Vendors of all types set their wares for all to enjoy and purchase. There is art, woodcrafts, Christmas decorations, pocketbooks, quilts, sand art, rides, ponies, and soooo much more… and of course FOOD! What would a festival be without an abundance of food…there is something for everyone… including the kids! Face Painting, The World's Tallest Pin Ball, Two Rock Climbing Walls, Bungee Jump, Water Ball Ride, Pony Ride, Petting Zoo, Mechanical Bull Ride, Moon-Walk and more.

    • 4th Annual Fall Paddle Florida on the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail
      The adventure begins at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park north of Live Oak and ends at Manatee Springs State Park near Chiefland with nightly river-side camping along the way.       For the last 31 years, the Pioneer Day festival has been a proud part of Lafayette County Florida. Every year thousands of people join Mayo in the celebration of the pioneer spirit that made America and the South great. You are welcome to join this years festival on the second Saturday in October We are pleased to announce that the Pioneer Day Festival will be held on two days this year on October 8th & 9th, 2010 2010 looks to be even better than before with more craft vendors and re-enactors and fun for the whole family, so make plans to attend this years festivities!
