Spring Warrior Fish Camp, A Great Destination on Taylor County, Florida’s Gulf Coast

Spring Warrior Fish Camp is one of the few “real” fish camps still remaining on Florida’s Gulf coast.  Located about 15 miles from Perry, it sits on Spring Warrior Creek, just a short run by boat from some of the best trout and redfishing anywhere in Florida.

To reach Spring Warrior Fish Camp from Perry, take Puckett Road to Spring Warrior Road and turn right. From Keaton Beach and Steinhatchee, take Beach Road to Ma Dixon Road, turn left to Spring Warrior Road--and left again.

Spring Warrior Creek is shallow, and smaller boats, including kayaks and canoes, are useful.  However, on flood tides, bay boats can be launched at the camp ($5 fee) with no difficulty.
